Welcome to the homepage of the Hungarian populated Croatian village of Laslovo - Szentlászló which was destroyed in the Croatian war of 1991.
Laslovo fell on November 24, 1991. Because of the senseless destruction of the war and the Serbian occupation following it and with it the mad, unstopped ravage there is no habitable house left in Laslovo. The inhabitants had only one choice: to escape.
Long, long affliction began at the time until the independent Croatia got its full territory recognized and restored on January 15, 1998. The Croatian state now governs the area of Eastern Slavonia as well. Finally there is some hope of returning.
Most of the inhabitants want to return. But where and how?
The village has to be rebuilt. For this much money is needed. That is why we ask you, please support our case, if you can.
In order for you to know what it is all about what we ask you for, we did our best to compile a collection about the unfortunate village and its people.
We don't consider our compilation finite, we welcome all suggestions, material, be it text, picture or music, and all ideas that make this homepage, and with it, the written material richer.
